87-Years-Old Man Was Rescued By Police After Locked By His Daughter In A Filthy Room

A shocking incident took place in central Mexico when several police officers rescued an 87-year-old man who was locked up by his own daughter at her home.

The shocking discovery occurred last week when an agent was issuing a warrant to collect unpaid items at the residence of a woman known only as Leticia in Celaya, Guanajuato. The woman is 54 years old.

While removing some items from the house, police heard cries from one of the bedrooms, where they found his father who was old and known as Bonifacio.

If seen through some photos shared by the Celaya municipal police, it shows the uncomfortable condition of the bedroom with bottles and rubbish on the floor, and dirty clothes lying on the bed.

Not only that, but Bonifacio also had to sleep at the bottom of a wooden frame without mattress support.

The old man also suffered an unknown condition at both feet. He was removed from his daughter’s house due to the condition of his place which was considered inhumane. He was then taken to a local medical clinic and transferred to a city-run shelter for the elderly.

His daughter Leticia was arrested and placed in the Guanajuato state prosecutor’s office and it is yet to be determined what charges will be filed against her.
