A Woman Woke Up After A Loud Sound, Realized Power Bank Wasn’t Charging Explodes Near Bed

Smartphone has become essential in our daily life. Most of our conversations and activities today happens online which lead to the importance of smartphone for us.

When we are using the gadget most of the time, the battery will sometimes drain so easily.  Due to this, the power bank has become another essential for smartphone users. The power bank is very beneficial for us to charge our phone. However, it can be a bit harmful without notice anytime.

A woman in Singapore is reported to wake up from her sleep after realizing her power bank exploded. She was sleeping when suddenly she heard a loud sound in her bedside drawer where she placed the power bank.

The incident happened on 12 September at 1 am in the condominium unit where she stays with her family. Her husband was said to be working in another room and her daughter was in the living room with their pet dog.

The power bank was not charging during the moment the incident happened. When it exploded and the fire started to spread, the wife quickly grabbed a soaked towel to distinguish the fire. She makes multiple trips to the toilet to wet the towel to put off the fire.

According to the husband, she acted as nothing happened and proceed to sleep before telling her family about the incident the next morning. It is lucky for the woman to notice that the power bank exploded and caught on fire or the incident could get worsen.
