This changing climate nowadays makes everything act differently than they always do. The glaciers are melting, water is rising and even animal shows up in all of a sudden at a place they are not supposed to. This is what exactly happened on Gold Coast Beaches where there has been a shark attack.
A sudden shark attack off the Queensland’s Gold Coast is has killed an Australian man. This is such a piece of shocking news as there has been no fatal attack happened there for 60 long and peaceful years. The mentioned Australian man was named Nick Slater and his age is 46 years old when he got attacked. The shark mercilessly mauled his leg.
The horrible incident was noticed by nearby surfers that saw him floating in shallow water are while his board was located beside him. They tried their hardest to bring him to the shore as soon as possible and he also was given first aid but unfortunately, he can’t be saved anymore. He immediately died at the scene.
Because of the incident, authorities decided to close an 18km section of the Gold Coast Beaches on Wednesday so that they could conduct a helicopter and also jet-ski to search for the shark. Allegedly the shark that they are trying to find is a 3m great white shark.
The city’s mayor, Tom Tate said, “Once we know that the shark is not in the vicinity or we have tracked it, then the beach will be reopened”. He is also still surprised as it was the first shark attack that caused death at Gold Coast since the year of 1958.
