Food Truck Owner Received RM418,000 Donations In 48 Hours After Trailer Was Burned Down

A man lived in Manchester, UK, David Kamson was sadly a victim of a suspected racist attack that saw his food truck up in flames, leaving him without a business.

David shared his story through his Instagram account, Moston Suya where he posted before and after pictures of his truck, demonstrating the devastating results the fire had on his business.

“This morning I woke up late at about 10 am and I went into the post office where the cashier was telling me oh my God what happened to your trailer, I said nothing is wrong with it it’s fine .. the council loves it and I have just fixed it back and bought back tools in it …,” David wrote.

“So I went to check on £3000 trailer with £2200 worth of equipment Gone in ashes with some things missing … which means it was robbed before burnt,” he continued.

“This Act of Hate should not be allowed in Moston. This is hateful and sad … All the kids that get chicken from me, all the street homeless and beggars I give food to Most are not black, I have no color black or white [sic],” he added.

David wishes to be treated as a ‘community man’ as he sees himself as one.

Luckily, someone had set up a GoFundMe campaign for David following the damage to his trailer. The campaign’s target is £6000 (RM32,015) for David to get a new trailer but under 48 hours. t has been raised as much as £78,933 (RM423,121).

David also shared a video on GoFundMe Youtube account thanking everyone for their generosity.
