LATEST: Singles To Receive RM500 For Under BPN 2.0

The government has agreed to provide ‘Bantuan Prihatin Nasional 2.0’ amounting to RM 500 for B40 single individual.

This matter was presented by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yaasin in a press conference of the Special Message ‘Kita Prihatin’ which aired live today.

The amount of assistance to be channeled under BPN 2.0 is as follows:

First: RM1,000 to 3.7 million B40 households;
Second: RM500 to 3.8 million single B40 groups;

According to Muhyiddin, BPN 2.0 payments will be made in two installments, the first at the end of October 2020 and the second, in January 2021.

For the B40 group, the first installment payment in October is RM700 and the second, in January 2021 is RM300.

He added that no application needed as the government will channel it directly to 10.6 million recipients who have been approved under the BPN previously.

For those who are eligible but have never received BPN, the Government will provide opportunities for new appeals and applications.
