Malaysian Embassy In Indonesia Celebrates National Month

JAKARTA, Sept 14 — The Malaysian embassy here today celebrated the National Month in conjunction with the 57th Malaysia Day and the 63rd National Day, with a brief program expressing love for the country.

Malaysian ambassador to Indonesia Datuk Zainal Abidin Bakar when addressing the event said that despite being away from home, Malaysians still adhere to the principles of Rukun Negara, and always maintained Malaysia’s good name abroad.

In conjunction with the theme of independence month  “Malaysia Prihatin” (Malaysia Cares), Zainal Abidin said all staff at embassies and related agencies, should always be concerned and responsible to help Malaysians in the republic who may need any help, especially those facing various problems since the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

Based on records, the Malaysian embassy has provided various types of assistance, especially consular assistance to more than 3,000 Malaysians, especially students, to facilitate their return home since the COVID-19 pandemic last March.

At the celebration in Jakarta, embassy staff sang the ‘’Negaraku’’, along with shouts of “Merdeka!” and while waving the Jalur Gemilang, in expressing their love for the homeland.
