It is well-known that Japan is leading the world with its advancement in science and technology. Japan too is trying to make the ever waited flying cars.

SkyDrive Inc. recently conducted a test drive for its new flying car, namely SD-03.  The test drive took place at the Toyota Test Field, which is the largest test field in Japan and home to the company’s development base.

The size of the vehicle can fit into a space of two parked cars on the ground. It has been designed to be the smallest electric Vertical Take-off and Landing (eVTOL) model in the world.

The company’s CEO, Tomohiro Fukuzawa said that the company is going to launch the flying car in 2023. SkyDrive wants to provide people with accessible and convenient means of transportation. They wanted to realize a safe, secure, and comfortable new way of life.

The single-seat flight was control by a pilot assisted with a computer control system to ensure flight stability and safety. The flight condition and performance was monitored at all times by technical staff at the field as a backup.

SD-03 is hoped to be a vehicle that can become convenient transportation. The company hoped that this aircraft will be welcomed into people’s lives and used naturally.
