EMCO In Kg. Saguking Laut & Kg Sebur Baru Starting This Midnight

The Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) was implemented in Kampung Saguking Laut and Kampung Sebur Baru in the Federal Territory of Labuan from midnight tonight until November 3.

Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said it is due to the increase in positive COVID-19 cases in the village.

“EMCO, which involves 8,062 individuals, aims to enable movement in and out of control and also to facilitate screening work to be done by the Ministry of Health (MOH).

“The security area will be controlled by the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM), the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), the Malaysian Civil Defense Agency (APMM), and the Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM),” he said in a press conference today.

In the meantime, the welfare of the residents will be managed by the local authority, and the Department of Social Welfare (JKM).
