MOH Needs Blood From Covid-19 Patients

There are several studies that still in the process to discover more about this dangerous coronavirus. These need to be done so that the world could come out with a solution on how to stop this deadly COVID-19 pandemic situation. Recently, the Ministry Of Health (MOH) has been calling out patients of COVID-19 to give some of their blood for study and experimentation purposes. This statement was posted on the official Facebook account of DG Dr. Noor Hisham.

The purpose of this study is for researchers to know the rate of immunity in the patients’ blood that can prevent the coronavirus from infecting all the patients who have been previously infected by a coronavirus. This is because it is completely possible for a certain person who was previously infected by Covid-19 to get it again for the second time.

Dr. Noor Hisham stated that “A group of researchers from the Institute of Medical Research in the Ministry of Health would like to invite Covid-19 survivors to join a study of neutralizing antibody response among Covid-19 patients”. He also added, “This study is important as it can help determine immunity against Covid-19 and to improve the understanding of antibody response among Covid-19 patients at different time frames”.
