Woman Screamed “I’m Falling Out” Before Falling From ‘The Hangover’ Ride

A woman was reported seriously injured after falling from a height of 30 meters (100 feet) from a ride at a carnival in Queensland, Australia last Saturday.

According to a Mirror UK report, the 25-year-old woman managed to scream saying she was falling while riding a roller coaster swing called ‘The Hangover’ at the carnival.

‘The Hangover’ is a roller coaster that swings people through the air. As a result of the impact of falling from a high place, the woman reportedly suffered severe head and spine injuries.

One of the witnesses, Bonnie Thistle, said she heard the victim scream as she slipped out of the ride.

“All I could hear from a distance, even over the speakers and everything, was a lady yell, ‘I’m falling out’,” Bonnie said.

“As I’ve looked over, she’s slowly coming out of her seat. She was basically sliding out like a banana, kind of thing. Just coming out,” she continued.

“I’ve gone to turn to my partner to say, ‘look, she’s coming out ‘. As I’ve done that and looked back, she’s already fallen … She wasn’t in there anymore. I rushed over to see what was going on, to see if she was okay,” Bonnie added.

“The way that she landed – I was pretty traumatized. I didn’t even know what to think. There were just ambulances, police, everything, just rushing in. We got told to stand out of the way. It was very horrific,” she said.

The victim was reported critical but stable at Cairns Hospital and an investigation into the incident is still ongoing. It is believed that the horrific incident occurred due to the incorrect way of wearing a seat belt.
