Moderate Earthquake Strikes Sumatera in Indonesia

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 10 — A moderate earthquake, measuring 5.4 on the Richter Scale, struck southwest Sumatera in Indonesia at 8.52 am today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department.

It said in a statement that the quake occurred 192 km southwest of Bandar Lampung at a depth of 68 km.

The quake did not pose any tsunami threat to Malaysia, it added.
