Shops In Kota Bharu Flooded With People After Price of Gold Drops, Nabbed For Flouting SOP

Recently, the price for gold has been announced to be dropped between RM223 to RM234 per gram. Because of that, several jewelry shops in Kota Bharu got crowded with so many customers trying to buy gold. According to a report, customers have surprisingly crammed the shops there from as early as 9 am. Sadly, many sops were violated by them.

Many people do not even care to practice physical distancing and also to comply with all the Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP) that have been set up for everyone’s safety. Even though some stores were relatively small, the shop owners did not implement any SOP or order their customers to enter the shop in batches.

Although all the customers there were all wearing masks, the lack of physical distancing practiced by them seems to indicate that the public has quite forgotten that Covid-19 cases are on the rise, especially in Kelantan.
