(Video) Nicki Minaj Announces New HBO Max Documentary Series

Nicki Minaj is definitely taking her numerous talents from the radio to television. According to an announcement, a particular six-part docuseries will be following her launch all the way to motherhood is coming to HBO Max. The one and only, Nicki Minaj herself will guide all the audiences through the most challenging and also fulfilling times in her own life in the as-yet-untitled series, each episode of which will be half an hour. This is exciting news for BARBZ.

Nicki Minaj has recently announced this news on her official Twitter social media platform. This particular docuseries is headed by Emmy-nominated director named Michael John Warren, who is also responsible for JAY-Z‘s cult classic Fade to Black documentary. The series will explore the superstar singer and rapper’s personal and also professional life. The news comes on the 10th anniversary of the release of her debut album “Pink Friday”.

Nicki Minaj said in announcing the series via social media, “It’s going to give you guys a raw unfiltered look at my personal life and my professional journey and I can’t wait to share it with you”. For this docuseries, Nicki Minaj herself is executive producing alongside Warren and Aaron L. Gilbert, Brenda Gilbert, and Cassandra Butcher for BRON Life, as well as Irving Azoff and Tommy Bruce in association with Creative Wealth Media.

Sarah Aubrey who is the head of original content at HBO Max said, “Nicki Minaj is a multi-faceted artist, businesswoman, and innovator as well as force to be reckoned with. It’s a privilege to bring this project to HBO Max and provide our viewers with unprecedented access to her life”. Warren added, “I love that this series not only provides an all-access glimpse at one of the most iconic musicians of our generation; it also profiles the brave woman behind the artist, Onika. I believe all of us can learn a great deal from her remarkable professional and personal life. It’s an honor to be entrusted with this dynamic story”.

BRON’s Aaron L. Gilbert and Brenda Gilbert also stated, “Nicki Minaj is one of the most important and influential recording artists of all time; never to be duplicated and many have tried. We are proud to support this living icon, as she bravely opens her home to the world”.
