Couple Faces 194 Years in Prison for Abuse of Children

A 194-year prison sentence awaits a heartless couple in the United States (US) who abused two children. Priscilla Meachem, 31, and Elijah Waltz, 38, were charged with abuse by beating and leaving two children, a boy and a girl aged 10 and 11, starving, for four months.

According to the Daily Star, investigators claimed that the child could starve to death by being left hungry, between June and October.

The children were also tied with zip ties and duct tape to prevent them from escaping. More brutally, the child’s head was shaved and the couple ate as usual in front of the victim.

Police detective Bryan Ruff described the child’s fate as the worst abuse case he had ever handled.

According to Ruff, the boy was beaten with a wooden stick and a guitar as well as abused on his private parts. The couple, who lived together in April, faces a long list of charges.

Meachem and Waltz were charged with nine counts of felonious assault, six counts of kidnapping, and seven counts of child endangering.

If convicted, both will be sentenced to a total of 194 years in prison each. Since the tragic abuse was uncovered, the boy and girl have been taken to a safe place.
