In a four-week course, the ride-hailing company, Grab, from Southeast Asia has teamed up with content development school Nas Academy to groom 100 aspiring content creators across Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.

The “GrabForGood x NAS Academy Creator Course aims to provide a forum for micro and small-business owners to share their experiences in adjusting to the new standard, including Grab drivers and delivery partners.

Listed participants will be qualified in scriptwriting, video recording, and editing, as well as publishing, to develop their abilities. They will also gain access to a virtual digital lab where they will be able to create 200 videos for these content creators and obtain live reviews and tech support.

Nas Academy offers a number of courses to help developers learn new skills, engage with each other, and monetize their social media presence. It claims to have over 2,247 students from 51 countries, with a completion rate of 95% for the course.

“This year, we were inspired by stories of so many individuals and businesses in our community who have shown grace, grit, and ingenuity as they come together to help one another and fight to adapt to the new normal,” said Cheryl Goh, group vice president of marketing at Grab. She added that the partnership will highlight these innovative small businesses.

Graduates will be inducted into the Grab for Good Fellows alumni at the conclusion of the course, where participants will have access to Grab’s coaches, unique stories, tools, and rewards, and a copyright-free music library to assist them to continue their video production journey for a period of six months after graduation.
