Woman Falls 650 Feet From A Cliff After Agreeing To Get Married At The Top Of The Mountain

A woman reportedly fell off a cliff shortly after agreeing to accept her boyfriend’s proposal, Mirror reported. The couple is understood to have carried out the proposal from a stunning vantage point at the top of Mount Falkert in Carinthia, Austria.

Unfortunately, their romantic moment turned tragic after the 32-year-old woman fell 650 feet in a rocky area. Fortunately, the area was covered with thick snow when she fell.

Her 27-year-old boyfriend tried to stop her from falling off the cliff.

In doing so, he also slipped from the mountain and fell as high as 50 feet but managed to rely on the rocky cliff until help arrived.

“The two of them were enormously lucky,” a local police spokesman said.

“The woman fell 650 feet over rocky terrain. If there hadn’t been snow, the outcome would have been completely different,” the spokesman added.

The man had clung to the rock until he was rescued by an emergency service helicopter using a rope.

After he was rushed to a hospital, he was reported to have a fracture in his spine.
