Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were in marriage counseling, and we’ve heard that for most of 2020, the issue of divorce has been lingering, but they haven’t given up.
Multiple sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ that for the last half of 2020 the marriage was in deep trouble. Actually, at one point, we’re told that Kim was prepared to pull the plug on the marriage, but it was when Kanye was going through a serious mental breakdown, and when he wasn’t well, she felt it was cruel to do it.
A source told PageSix that while Kim had previously attempted to defend and support her husband during his mental health problems,’ she grew up a lot’ and had ‘had enough of it.’
The pair were photographed in Wyoming in late July after a series of troubling outbursts from Kanye over the summer, both in public and on social media, as they met for marriage counseling sessions.
As they seemed to be having an emotional conversation, a depressed-looking Kim was seen in a car with her husband.
Soon after, they jumped off for a ‘make or break’ trip on a trip to the Dominican Republic with their children.
For a few months, they have been living alone with Kanye spending the bulk of his time in Wyoming while she was with the kids in Calabasas. They were absorbed in personal business ventures and did not concentrate on making final choices.
Kim has gone back and forth, sometimes we’re told that divorce was the only option, but other times we feel there was an opportunity to save the marriage. This is why, late last year, they took a family trip to see if they could fix anything.
For the Christmas holidays, everything was put on hold, but now the problem is front and center. For many reasons, Kim’s had Disso Queen Laura Wasser on retainer for years, and the issue of divorce was addressed months ago, but Kim never gave permission to appeal.
Her ambivalence, what with 4 small children, is understandable. In May 2014, they married. We’re told that no definitive decision has been taken, and it says they’ve been in therapy for a while.
We’re assured that their problems were neither contentious nor ugly, but there are a lot of variations between lifestyles and politics. However, they are totally compatible with parenting.
Many are betting on them divorcing, but let’s hope not!
