LATEST: Agong Consents To Declare Emergency Until August 1 Or Earlier

PUTRAJAYA, 1 Feb -- Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah berkenan menyampaikan titah baginda selepas selesai Istiadat Menghadap dan Pengurniaan Darjah Kebesaran, Bintang dan Pingat Wilayah Persekutuan sempena Sambutan Hari Wilayah Persekutuan 2020 di Istana Melawati hari ini.?-- fotoBERNAMA (2020) HAK CIPTA TERPELIHARA?

His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah has given his consent for the declaration of Emergency Proclamation to be implemented as a proactive measure to curb the symptoms of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Through a brief BERNAMA report this morning, His Majesty also gave his consent for the period of emergency implementation until 1 August 2021 or until an earlier date.

It is understood that the expected period is given if the daily COVID-19 positive case figures can be controlled and lowered effectively.
