Long-distance Married Couples Allowed To Cross The State With Police Permission Starting Tomorrow – Ismail Sabri

Through a press conference today, Senior Minister of Security, Dato ‘Sri Ismail Sabriinformed that husbands and wives who live far away from each other are allowed to cross the state effective January 27, 2021 (tomorrow).

According to him, they are allowed to cross the state provided if they get permission from the police.

“On the advice of the Ministry of Health Malaysia, the government has agreed to allow couples who are far apart due to working across the state to meet with their families provided they have the permission and approval of the Royal Malaysian Police,” he said.

However, for symptomatic couples, they are advised to seek treatment first or at least make a swab test before they return home.

“We do not want them to endanger their families,” he said.
