About 10,000 football fans will be allowed to watch the match at the stadium, following the United Kingdom government start easing of coronavirus restrictions.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Monday outlined some relaxation of rules. With the announcement, this means football fans can watch the Premier League at the stadium before the end of the season.
The last day of the English Premier League season is scheduled for May 23. With the rules relaxed, it means thousands of supporters can see their team in action before the EPL ends.
The government will allow up to 10,000 spectators – or a quarter of the stadium capacity with less than 40,000 spectators, to watch the match effective May 17.
Not just that, the news is also good news for England’s hopes of holding the European Championship this summer, with Wembley a place for both the semi-finals and finals as well as several other matches.
