Marvel just released the new trailer for ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ during Super Bowl LV and it looks good. More details are revealed for the upcoming series. With the collaboration with Disney+, things are going smooth-sailing especially after the wild reception for WandaVision early this year.
The story will follow WandaVision’s style of a six-episode mini-series, picking up events after Avengers: Endgame. It will star Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, also known as The Falcon, carrying Cap’s shield. Sebastian Stan returns as Bucky Barnes a.k.a The Winter Soldier. Both will pair to take down the Flag-Smashers.
From the trailer we could see their cooperation as Sam throws Captain America’s shield with Bucky catching it; metaphorically suggesting them sharing the Captain’s mantel.
In this new trailer, we see Emily Van Camp returns as Peggy Carter’s niece, Sharon Carter following up her appearance after Civil War with an amazing action sequence. Another reappearance will be by Daniel Brühl’s Baron Zemo. In case you need a refresher, he was the villain who tore the Avengers apart in ‘Captain America: Civil War’.
The series was scheduled to release in August last year but was delayed to March 19 due to filming suspensions. Falcon and Winter Soldier will be a part of Marvel’s Phase Four.
