That is usually the place where tourists will immortalize their memories of being in the Stadthuys Building or known as the ‘red building’. According to a report, it, unfortunately, collapsed because of strong wind with a speed of 6 km/h on Wednesday.

The Batai Laut type of tree or the scientific name is known as ‘Peltophorum Pterocarpum’ measured to be 18 meters tall and almost 1.5 meters in diameter that was planted since the British era has fallen around 6.30 in the morning. Based on history, it was planted along with the water teeth of the Straits of Malacca as symbolic of the boundaries of the area.

According to the Facebook post,

The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) and MBMB’s F.RON.T Unit have been on site for public safety and traffic control purposes”.
