“Denied Allegations That Traffic Policeman Works As Food Delivery Guy” – Kluang District Police

Recently, a particular picture posted on Facebook social media went viral that shows a working food delivery guy on a motorcycle looking as if he was a traffic policeman due to the pattern on the pants he was wearing at that time. The picture has attracted so much attention from all the netizens. The picture with the caption “Do you work part-time?”.

However, after the picture went viral, the Kluang District Police Headquarters has clarified in a statement yesterday by denying that the particular individual in the picture was a traffic member from Kluang District Police.

According to the Kluang District Police Chief that is Assistant Commissioner Low Hang Seng, he stated that the specific picture that went viral was definitely not of a policeman working part-time as a FoodPanda rider. However, in fact, he is a real food delivery worker and the individual himself has come to the Kluang IPD to confirm that his picture got spread on Facebook. Confusion has erupted among netizens because of the white pattern on the pants worn by the man which looked similar to the pants of a traffic policeman.

Following that issue, Assistant Commissioner Low Hang Seng advised the public not to spread something recklessly because the action can be taken according to Section 233 (3) of the Communications and Multimedia Act (CMA) 1998. Convicted, can be fined not more than RM50,000 or imprisoned not more than one year or even both of them.
