LATEST: RON97 Oil Price Rises 7 Cents, RON95 And Diesel Remains

The Ministry of Finance Malaysia (MOF) today updated the retail prices for petroleum products for the period 18 March 2021 to 24 March 2021.

According to a press release issued through MOF’s official Twitter account, the retail price of RON97 petrol increased by 7 sen per liter from RM2.40 per liter to RM2.47 per liter.

The retail price of RON95 petrol was reported to remain at RM2.05 per liter. Meanwhile, the retail price of diesel also remained at RM2.15 per liter.

The Ministry of Finance Malaysia informed that to protect consumers from the effects of rising real oil prices in the global market, the government has maintained the retail price of RON95 petrol and diesel even though the actual market prices for both products have risen above the ceiling price level.

The Ministry of Finance Malaysia also stated that the government will continue to monitor and will be ready to take appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people continue to be preserved.
