MOH Explains The List of Actions To Be Compounded With RM1,500

Recently, many Malaysian has expressed their outrage after the compound fine for breaking SOPs during the MCO was increased from RM1,000 to RM10,000. This is because there are so many confusions arise because of the announcement. There have been so many cases were imposed with impossible compound fees that they are unable to afford.

Due to that, the issue has been explained thoroughly and also tweeted on the Ministry Of Health Malaysia official Twitter page. Hopefully, the public could understand better the decision that has been made by the government.

According to the tweet, these are the details:

  • First-time offenders and individuals who do not wear masks will be fined RM1,500.
  • Those who don’t register themselves or use the MySejahtera app to check-in will be fined RM1,500.
  • Those who do not adhere to physical distancing will be fined RM1,500.

They also added in the tweet, “50% discount if paid within a week, 25% discount if paid within 14 days. After 14 days, no discount is offered”.
