(Video) Have You Ever Seen It? These Golden Tortoise Beetles Leaves People Amazed

Tortoise the size of a beetle sounds ridiculous. But mother nature up to its game with a golden one that can fly. Enter the golden tortoise beetle or its scientific name aspidimorpha sanctaecrucis.

The gold pattern on their backs with the transparent protective carapace makes them look like tiny tortoises.

Indian Forest Services, Susanta Nanda did not know such a stunning insect existed.  The golden tortoise beetles can be found in Southeastern Asian countries like China, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, North East India, Vietnam, and Indonesia and can reach a length of about 14 mm.

The way their backs shine like tiny gold jewels in the sun makes them hard to miss.

However, they can appear to change color in certain conditions, such as when they feel threatened. According to one observer, they can go from brilliant golden color to a reddish gold in a matter of minutes, when disturbed.
