(Video) Kill Or Be Killed? ‘Hitman: Sniper Assassins’ Spinoff Announced For Mobile

Square Enix Montréal announced Hitman: Sniper Assassins during Square Enix Presents showcase. The franchise about a bald killer with a barcode tattoo on the back of his head has already had a great 2021 with IO Interactive’s Hitman 3 receiving overwhelmingly positive reviews. The indie developer also made back the development costs of Hitman 3 just a week after the game released.

The trailer shows multiple new assassins, but not Agent 47. Sniper Assassins will have original story content and missions, and gameplay features. It will probably distinguish itself from other games in the series. This should keep players occupied until the long-awaited Hitman 4.

The trailer shown off during the Square Enix Presents presentation did not show any gameplay, so the way players will be interacting with these new assassins and even the genre of the game are unclear. Another variety of Hitman on mobile was 2014’s Hitman Go: a turned-based puzzle game that turned regular assassination missions into a digital board game. So there’s a wide variety of possibilities for what Hitman: Sniper Assassins’s gameplay could be.
