SOCSO Partners With SME Malaysia And FMM For Karnival Kerjaya MyFutureJobs, Offering Over 3,000 Job Opportunities

KUALA LUMPUR – The Social Security Organisation (SOCSO) is actively engaging various stakeholders on extensive collaborations to effectively facilitate unemployed individuals to secure employment in these trying times.

SOCSO has recently entered into a strategic partnership with the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) and the SME Association of Malaysia (SME Malaysia) to widely communicate the government’s initiatives pertaining to employment and job creation, while at the same time, assist the FMM and SME Association members to recruit new employees.

Through the strategic partnership, employers from both organisations can seize the opportunity from SOCSO’s Hiring Incentives and Training Programmes (PenjanaKerjaya) made available for employers who successfully hire employees.

SOCSO manages the incentives under the PenjanaKerjaya initiative that subsidise employers up to RM36,000 per hired employee for a maximum duration of 6 months. Additionally, each newly hired employee is entitled for a training programme, fully subsidised under PenjanaKerjaya, for up to RM7,000 per training course. These employees are also qualified for a one-off Mobility Assistance payment of RM500 or RM1,000.

The incentives are targeted to help businesses in obtaining a pool of skilled talents for their operations and pave the way for business growth or expansion. At the same time, the incentives are expected to assist in opening job opportunities for local talents and contribute to lowering the country’s unemployment rate.

Leveraging the PenjanaKerjaya incentives for employers, SOCSO will be organising the Karnival Kerjaya MYFutureJobs on 7 and 8 April 2021. A total of 64 employers who are FMM and SME Malaysia members are participating in the job fair, offering more than 3,000 job openings.

During the two-day event, SOCSO will also offfer career counselling and guidance for job seekers to explore career opportunities through the national employment portal, MYFutureJobs.

Karnival Kerjaya MYFutureJobs will be held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, here from 9am to 4pm. It is opened to the public, especially job-seekers, with strict Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in place.

As the attendance is limited following the SOP, SOCSO urges job seekers to do pre-registration at https://careerfair.perkeso.gov.my/.

The career fair will be a platform for employers find the right talent to fit their business operations and match jobseekers with suitable job vacancies.

SOCSO   welcomes    more    strategic    partnerships    with    organisations,     businesses    and establishments who are interested in participating in SOCSO’s career fairs held nationwide.
