1) Ask the police why you were arrested.
An arrest has to be made for certain reasons. Doing an arrest without cause is actually a wrongful action.
2) Ask the police to show you their authority card.
Each color has a different meaning. Make sure you know each color and its meaning.
3) Please cooperate with the police and don’t fight.
This is because, both parties just want to solve their respective problems. The police are also doing their job.
4) Ask the police which station you will be taken to.
The police can only take you to the nearest station in a fast time.
5) Ask for permission to contact family or a lawyer.
This facilitates negotiations for both parties. If you have a health problem, you should also inform the police.
6) Arrest without a court can only be done for the first 24 hours.
The police can only detain you for more than 24 hours if ordered by the court.
