Barcelona boss that is Ronald Koeman said the club would do everything possible to convince Lionel Messi to hold a meeting with the new president named Joan Laporta and then plan for next season. “It is a really important issue and we will do everything we can for Leo to spend many more years at this club,” Koeman said in a news conference on Sunday when asked if the club would set Messi a deadline. According to the news, Laporta wants to wait for the results of an internal audit before offering Lionel Messi a new deal.
Paris Saint-Germain and also Manchester City remain to be the front runners to sign Lionel Messi if he does decide to seek a new challenge.
