‘Attack on Titan’ Sets Guinness World Record As The Largest Comic Book Ever!

Attack on Titan has just been confirmed by Guinness World Records for ‘the largest comic book ever published’. Overall, it does not mean the longest chapter, this literally refers to the print issue. The large-scale book is one meter high and 70 cm wide, making it six to seven times the size of traditional Japanese manga (Tankōbon).

Furthermore, the large-scale manga weighs about 13.7 kilograms. This manga, of course, is part of a limited edition, 100 copies per chapter with the first two chapters running out in minutes. Previously, Kodansha had reported that the limited edition comic would stand out as the largest comic book in the world as it was larger than the current Guinness World Record holder.

If you are interested, you can apply to purchase a large-scale copy of the Attack on Titan manga on the Kodansha website for 5 165,000 JPY (about $ 1,540 USD).
