“It Was A Dream To Lead This List…,” – Conor McGregor

Mixed martial arts (MMA) star Conor McGregor didn’t think he would top the list of richest athletes in the world. Through a recent post on Instagram, he celebrated the announcement with his family in Dubai.

It also indirectly made McGregor the first MMA fighter to top the title by beating other big names like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

“Thank you Forbes for recognizing my role as an entrepreneur, it was a dream to lead this list with so many successful athletes!

“Onwards and upwards we go,” McGregor wrote.

Although McGregor only fought one time last year, he managed to make history with his earnings outside the octagon, which eclipsed $ 150m.

He is expected to make another large eight-figure payday for his highly anticipated trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July.
