Entrepreneur Distributes ‘Korban’ Meat To 600 Asnaf

TUMPAT, July 21  — Some 600 asnaf (eligible tithe recipient) around Pasir Pekan, here, today received sacrificial meat contributed by a cosmetics entrepreneur through the Korban Kaseh 4.0, held in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration.

Mohd Faizul Rohban Ahmad said the programme which has been held by his company since 2018, was aimed at spreading festive cheer and sharing ‘rezeki’ with the less fortunate.

“Realising that many people are facing a challenging economic situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to donate the meat to more recipients, compared with the previous year,” he told reporters at the handing over of the meat at Masjid Paloh Pasir Pekan here.

One of the recipients, Zulkifli Ismail, 41, who is wheelchair-bound said he was happy to receive the contribution.

“I would like to express my appreciation to Mohd Faizul for the fresh meat contribution and I hope this kind of programme will continue to be held in the future,” he said.
