KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 12 — Samsung Electronics Co Ltd has unveiled its latest line of smartphone series, the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G premium foldable smartphones last night.
Samsung Electronics president and Mobile Communications Business head, TM Roh said with Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3, Samsung is once again redefining the possibilities with foldable smartphones that empower users with the flexibility and versatility needed for today’s fast-paced world.
“These devices equip consumers with technologies that unlock new ways to maximise and enjoy every moment with an ecosystem built on openness and innovation,” he said during the ‘Galaxy Unpacked: Get Ready to Unfold’ virtual global launch last night.
Roh said both new foldable phones come with a IPX8 water-resistant built that is made of Samsung’s Armor Aluminum along with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus to protect against scratches and accidental drops, as well as a new protective film made of stretchable polyethylene terephthalate.
Available in three colours – Phantom Black, Phantom Green, and Phantom Silver – Z Fold3 is a true multitasking powerhouse with next-level performance, featuring an undisrupted 7.6-inch Infinity Flex Display and the first-ever S Pen support on a foldable device.
Meanwhile, for those who want style that comes with function, Z Flip3 is the ideal device with its sleek, compact and pocketable design, enhanced camera features and a larger cover screen built for quick use on the go.
Joining the Galaxy Z Series is the Galaxy Buds2 — wireless in-ear headphones which are comfortable enough to be worn all day, offering premium sound quality for users of the Galaxy smartphone, tablet or smartwatch.
At the same time, Samsung also launched the Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic – the first smartwatches to feature the new Wear OS Powered by Samsung, built jointly with Google and equipped with One UI Watch.
“We have seen an incredible amount of growth for the Galaxy Watch series as consumers have discovered the health benefits and convenience of wearables.
“So we built a robust suite of health and wellness features to give people a deeper and more helpful understanding of their overall fitness,” Roh said.
Galaxy Watch4 is equipped with Samsung’s groundbreaking 3-in-1 BioActive Sensor, which boasts a smaller and more compact design that does not detract from measurement accuracy.
The Galaxy Watch4 series is built with 16GB memory storage and comes in both 40mm and 44mm sizes, while the Classic is slightly larger at 42mm and 46mm.
Both watches have up to 40 hours of battery life and only need 30 minutes of charging to get up to 10 hours of battery life.
