Shop Review: Cafe Marion In Cherating, Owned By A French-Muslim Chef

Cherating is a beach town in Pahang, Malaysia, located about 47 km north of Kuantan. It is known for being a quieter resort town, it is the perfect location if you are looking to escape the crowds. Plus, it has various hidden gems that should be on your radar because a lot of people still do not know about it including halal French cafe, Cafe Marion.

This particular amazing cafe named Cafe Marion is run by a local individual who is married to a French lady. Cafe Marion is a French Cafe that proudly provides various selections of Halal pastries that are very tasty and homemade.

The French Muslim chef is Marion Fernandez and her Malaysian husband Khairil, the cafe made its debut back in the month of December 2019. It is actually located only a 2-minute drive from the Royal Chulan Cherating Chalet. So, if you’re staying in Cherating for your holiday with families, friends and loved ones, make it your mission to drop by the cafe for a range of mouthwatering French pastries and also desserts. This is absolutely something not to miss.

Cafe Marion has everything that you could ever imagine about pastry, from chocolate eclairs or chocolate tarts made with a buttery crust and intense chocolate ganache up until to strawberry tarts and lemon meringue tarts. The shop also has the French Croque Monsieur which is a French sandwich made with beef bacon and cheese. So amazing.

Opening hours: Thu-Mon; 1PM -7PM (closed on Tuesday and Wednesday)
