Terengganu is actually a sultanate and constitutive state of federal Malaysia. The state is also known by its Arabic honorific, Dāru l-Īmān. The coastal city of Kuala Terengganu which stands at the mouth of the broad Terengganu River is both the state and also royal capital as well as the largest city in Terengganu. Recently, it has been announced that Terengganu will be entering Phase 3 of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) this 17th of September 2021. 1) Kenyir Lake

Kenyir Lake is the largest lake in Malaysia and is also the largest man-made lake in Southeast Asia. Many of the people who visit this beautiful lake are locals, anglers, golfers, and groups of companies that hold leisure activities or telematics here. Kenyir Lake is bordered by the famous National Park. Kenyir Lake area is more than 200,000 hectares. In this area, you can find around 340 small islands which are mainly uninhabited, many waterfalls and caves. There is also a lot of wildlife to be found in the Kenyir Lake district.

2) Perhentian Island

Perhentian Islands are islands in the district of Besut, Terengganu. The two main islands are Perhentian Besar and Perhentian Kecil. The small uninhabited islands of Susu Dara, Serengeh and Rawa are located in Kecil. At Pulau Perhentian, you can discover incredible marine life under the clear water while snorkeling or diving. Feel the breeze of the south china sea on the white sandy beach, be the focus of tourists to relax and enjoy the sunshine.

3) Terengganu Craft Cultural Center

Built based on skilled art from artisans who are dedicated to producing handmade batik items, songket, rattan, keris, pottery and wood carvings. Located only about 8 kilometers from Kuala Terengganu, and it is built on an 8-hectare site in the Chendering Industrial Area. The Terengganu Craft Cultural Center provides a wide selection of exhibition spaces on the complete history and cultural background and community in Terengganu.

4) Abidin Mosque

Abidin Mosque is the old Terengganu state government mosque built by Sultan Zainal Abidin II between 1793 to 1808. This mosque, also known as the White Mosque or Grand Mosque, is located in Kuala Terengganu. The old Royal Tomb is located near the mosque. The original building material of the mosque was wood, but during the reign of Sultan Umar around 1852, the mosque was replaced and made of brick. The mosque was renovated during the reign of Al-Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah in 1972. The size of the mosque is now twice the size of the original building. Tall towers and new domes were built. Decorate some calligraphic carvings of verses from the Quran & prayers carved on the entrance and grill of the mosque. This uniquely carved pulpit was made by Tuan Abdul Kadir.

5) Terengganu State Museum

The Terengganu State Museum in Kampung Losong, Kuala Terengganu is the largest museum in Malaysia with a floor area of ​​more than 75,000 square meters spread over 4 interconnected buildings. It is the largest museum complex in Southeast Asia with four main blocks besides having a maritime museum and five traditional houses. It was built with a beautiful garden view and resemble the glory of Rajasthan’s rich cultural history of the place until today. It has major museums, a maritime museum, the museum of the fishery, the four traditional houses, botanical and herbal gardens Malay. The main museum contains galleries showcasing textiles, weaving techniques, traditional weapons, petroleum expansion, Islamic art, and more.
