Is there any joy in the ChickenJoy? Is Will eating the fabled Jolly Spaghetti make me feel merry? Probably these are the questions that would pop in your head when you heard about the famous Filipino fried chicken joint.
Jollibee is a Filipino specialty fast food restaurant that was started in the Philippines in 1975 and came to the United States in 1998, for those who haven’t experienced the pleasure. The fast-growing franchise already has over 30 sites in the United States, ranging from Los Angeles to New York City, and it shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
Even better, Jollibee Food Corp has announced the formation of a joint venture to own and operate Jollibee restaurants in West Malaysia! From 2022 onwards, the company plans to open at least 120 new Jollibee stores across Malaysia under the main Jollibee brand, according to the venture.
There is currently only one Jollibee outlet in Malaysia, which opened in 2018. It is located in Kota Kinabalu. In reality, Malaysians have been demanding more stores for years, and we’re now receiving what we’ve been hoping for!
Why the hype?
Jollibee is a well-known Filipino fast-food chain noted for its menu of American-inspired dishes as well as casual Filipino cooking. Jollibee’s juicy traditional fried chicken, Yumburger, their house hamburger that has been a favorite of Jollibee patrons since the beginning, and Jolly Spaghetti, a unique sweet Filipino-style spaghetti, also dubbed as “the meatiest, cheesiest spaghetti”, are all popular products among Jollibee fans.
Best Ranked Menu
Jollibee has tonnes of food to offer. Their best selling would be the Chicken Joy!
ChickenJoy is the Philippine version of KFC’s fried chicken buckets but infinitely better. It’s delectable. The chicken comes out hot and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It’s well seasoned and cooked—not dry like some other fried chicken establishments. It’s real chicken with a silky, delicious gravy that comes with the chicken, and it’s a winning combo. It’s all in the name: ChickenJoy is all about genuine happiness. I’m going to get this fried chicken again and again.
Other meals available are:
- Chicken Dippers
- Peach Mango Pie
- Chicken Sandwich
- Corned Beef
- Fiesta Noodles
- Jolly Spaghetti
- Ice Cream Sundae
And many more…..
Although Jollibee in the Philippines includes pork as part of their menu, the first-ever Jollibee in Kota Kinabalu is in fact Halal-certified so safe to say, we can expect all future outlets in West Malaysia to be the same as well.
And that’s not all, The well-known Filipino fried chicken business is finally establishing its first branch in the Klang Valley, at Sunway Pyramid in PJ. According to Malaysia Shopping Malls, the storefront may be found on Level LG2 of the mall.
There has been no official word on when the outlet will open. However, we are hopeful that we will be able to sample the famed fried chicken that everyone has been raving about in the near future.
