The Court of Appeal Rejected Najib’s Appeal In The SRC Case

The decision for Najib’s case has been made. Recently, the Court of Appeal has reportedly dismissed the former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s appeal to set aside all 7 charges involving SRC International Sdn Bhd funds. Judge Datuk Abdul Karim Abdul Jalil stated that the transfer of RM42 million from SRC International into Najib’s account was not classified as national interest.

In this regard, the Court of Appeal upheld the conviction and sentence of 12 years imprisonment and a fine of RM210 million against the Pekan Member of Parliament for misappropriating funds worth RM42 million belonging to SRC International. According to the tweet by BERNAMA TV that stated, “The Court of Appeal today upheld the conviction and sentence of 12 years imprisonment and a fine of RM210 million on Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak for misappropriating RM42 million in funds belonging to SRC International Sdn Bhd”.

They also added that Najib, however still has the opportunity to appeal against today’s decision in the Federal Court.
