Dato’ Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein Confirmed Positive COVID-19

Senior Minister of Defense, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein was confirmed positive for COVID-19, today.

In a statement via the Ministry of Defence Facebook page this morning, Hishammuddin was said to have previously undergone an RT-PCR type detection test on Friday and obtained a negative result.

“He has undergone COVID-19 detection test type RT-PCR on a regular basis besides also regularly doing self-detection test (self-test) through RTK Antigen method. The last time he underwent an RT-PCR type detection test and got a negative result of COVID-19 was on Friday, 18 February 2022.

“Dato ‘Seri Hishammuddin Hussein will continue to monitor and carry out his duties as appropriate during the isolation period,” the statement said.
