(Video) Putting His Arm Around Vladimir Putin, The First Time McGregor Felt Fear

Who does not know former UFC champion Conor McGregor, no opponent can make him feel scared. Even Khabib Nurmagomedov has not been able to overcome Conor McGregor’s fears. But there was one that managed to spark a bit of fear of this MMA athlete from Ireland. If you want to know, the individual is Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to SPORTbible, McGregor once met Putin in Moscow during the 2018 World Cup final. Their meeting at the time was recorded for McGregor’s YouTube channel TheMacLife and the two were seen chatting briefly.

They were later photographed together but it is said at the time that McGregor made a mistake by placing his arm on Putin’s shoulder.

One of Putin’s security officials told McGregor that he was not allowed to do so. McGregor’s facial experience after hearing the command began to change drastically. They were then photographed in a formal way and it appeared McGregor was starting to get nervous as well as uncomfortable.

The meeting with Putin was also uploaded on McGregor’s Instagram account in 2018 where he called the Russian President one of the greatest leaders of this era.

“Today I was invited to the World Cup final as a guest of Russian President Vladimir Putin. This man is one of the greatest leaders of our time and I was honored to attend such a landmark event alongside him. Today was an honor for me Mr “Putin. Thank you and congratulations on an amazing World Cup,” McGregor wrote in the post.
