Catalyst to Kuala Selangor’s Vibrant Economic Ecosystem

Strategically nestled near the banks of the Selangor River, De Palma Hotel Eco Resort Kuala Selangor is a tranquil sprawling vacation resort, a mere 60-minute drive from the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur. The resort is popular among tourists attracted by the natural environment, food and rich cultural and historical gems around Kuala Selangor.

De Palma Hotel Eco Resort Kuala Selangor anticipates an uptrend in domestic travellers, especially families and local business events in the short term while international travellers gradually pick up.

“The relaunching of De Palma Hotel Eco Resort will surely have a positive impact on the tourism industry in Kuala Selangor. Being the largest hotel in Kuala Selangor and its unique surroundings, De Palma has always been the popular choice among the tourists. With these visitors, it will bring more business to the local people especially those in the restaurant sector. As Kuala Selangor has become one the top local tourism spots, and also popular with foreign visitors too, the opening of the border for foreign visitors on the 1st April, especially for Singaporeans, will also help the tourism industry,” remarked YB Juwairiya Zulkifli, Bukit Melawati assemblyman at the re-launch event.

She then added “I hope Kuala Selangor becomes a ‘must visit’ when tourists are in Malaysia and will become a long term (daily) visitor destination for them. Finally, I hope more tourism related businesses and facilities will be built in Kuala Selangor, creating more job opportunities here.”

Hidden Gems of Kuala Selangor

Realising collaboration as the key to rebuilding momentum in the post-pandemic market, De Palma together with industry players, Tourism Selangor and Kebudayaan dan Pelancongan Daerah Kuala Selangor, aims to increase the state’s profile by connecting tourists culturally and emotionally to Selangor’s cultural and historical gems.

Approximately less than 4km radius from the historical monument, lies the iconic Kuala Selangor Nature Park, Sky Mirror Jetty, Firefly Park and eagle feeding, to name a few.

Dato’ Mahmud said that the resort offers the perfect retreat for those wishing to enjoy a break while appreciating beautiful local attractions at a relaxing pace. “De Palma Hotel Eco Resort Kuala Selangor is the ideal location for those who wish to enjoy our beautiful tropical sunshine, wide open spaces and fresh air, and the recent refurbishments will offer them all the comforts of home too.”
