The Christchurch Tragedy, Darkest Moment In New Zealand History

Christchurch tragedy

The Christchurch tragedy would be one of the most devastating events that happened. A lot of people have to witness the darkest moment ever in New Zealand history, especially for all Muslims. This is something that would take some time to forget. It happened on the 15th of March 2019. Up until today, it has been a total of 3 years since it occurred.

At that time, 51 lives were lost while 40 others were injured when a man launched an attack at 2 different locations. The first one was at the Al Noor Mosque when 190 worshipers were setting up Friday prayers. After that, the cruel and violent perpetrator drove about 3 miles to Linwood Islamic Center and also fired a few more killing shots there.

The Christchurch tragedy that happened really taught the country an important lesson. Since then, there have been specific rules that have been made. With hope, there is going to be no other deadly incident like this would happen again. For those who do not know, it would be the next deadly shooting incident in the country since the year 1997 Raurimu massacre. Condolences to the family members and also friends for those who are involved in the tragedy.
