ByteDance Discretely Launches A New Search Engine In China

ByteDance is definitely one of the most well-known companies in this whole wide world. This is because it is actually the main owner of the hit short video app called TikTok. This TikTok app is something that so many people worldwide use actively.

Recently, ByteDance has discretely launched a new search engine in China. It is widely known by the public that Google is indeed got banned there. The Wukong search app is definitely the replacement there. According to the South China Morning Post website, “this Wukong search app launch is within days of Tencent Holdings shutting down on August 8 the Sogou search app”.

As of now, the freshly Wukong search app is already available on Apple’s App Store in China and also various Chinese Android app stores. This has officially made ByteDance company into closer competition with Baidu. For those who might not know, Baidu is surely China’s dominant search engine. For some additional facts on it, Baidu is specializing in Internet-related services and products. Other than that it also focuses on artificial intelligence. Its headquarter is specifically in Beijing’s Haidian District.

The new Wukong search app in China promotes itself by using the word, “quality information and search without ads”. So great!
