Mobile Phone Spot Check On The Street, PDRM Denied The Allegation

Mobile phone spot check is a major topic right now. A lot of people are talking about it. This is surely due to a statement that went viral recently on social media platforms. According to the statement, 3 policemen suddenly stop a man on the street.

It is said that the 3 policemen were doing a patrol around Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur area. Surprisingly, they did a handphone spot check on the man’s phone. The man actually felt weird about what happened and then decided to write about it.

In a statement by Brickfields District Police Chief, ACP Amihizam Abdul Shukor, they stated that they denied the allegation. After thinking about it, that is actually very dangerous. The Police advise the public to be more vigilant and immediately report the abuse of power activities by PDRM members to the nearest Police Station. The public needs to know this information so that no one will be a victim of the abuse of power activities.

ACP Amihizam Abdul Shukor also said the police did not conduct any checks on mobile phones on the street except for investigation purposes.

If you have any information, you can contact the Brickfields Police Hotline at 03-2297 9222, the Kuala Lumpur Police Hotline at 03-2115 9999 or any nearby Police Station.
