Angelina Jolie Makes Her Move To Support Flood-Affected People In Pakistan

Angelina Jolie has recently decided to visit Pakistan. It is all solely to support the flood-affected people there. According to several reports, she has landed specifically in Dadu, Pakistan. She will be hearing directly from the people about their needs and others.

Other than that, her visit there is to draw international attention to the serious issue as well. The mentioned issue would be Pakistan’s humanitarian crisis that has been going on for a very long time already. Angelina Jolie is such an icon for doing this.

To those who might not know, the cause of floods in Pakistan is the continuous monsoon rains and also the melting of glaciers. That all indeed happened in the northern mountain regions of Pakistan. It has put a third of the country’s land under water.

This sad incident has devastatingly taken the lives of more than 1,500 people. In addition to that, there is an estimation of 33 million other people who were victims of the flood. Other impacts are washing away homes, railways, crops, roads, and livestock.

As stated on the Images website, “The Committee’s latest assessment reveals that people are in urgent need of food, clean drinking water, shelter, and healthcare”. There are all the important things needed by the victims in Pakistan for the time being.
