Angelina Jolie has accused her former husband Brad Pitt of abuse. She said that Pitt had grabbed her by the head and attacked their children when they were on a flight from France to Los Angeles.
Not only that, according to Jolie, Pitt poured alcohol on her and children and verbally attacked them the whole way from France to California.
However, Pitt has denied all the allegations thrown at him.
Previous court documents, including the divorce settlement between the Oscar-winning couple, have revealed Jolie’s allegations of violent behaviour by Brad Pitt on the flight of September 14, 2016.
Jolie’s legal team claimed fresh information in a Los Angeles court filing on Tuesday. It’s related to an ongoing case between the former Hollywood couple and their property in the south of France, which includes the residence and vineyard known as Chateau Miraval SA.
Pitt claims that he and his ex-wife made a pact that neither of them would sell their shares in the establishment without the other’s consent.
Angelina Jolie disagrees and claims that Brad Pitt ended talks to buy out her half of the property.
The Timeline
On Tuesday, she filed an answer to the actor’s case. She claimed that he had been physically and verbally abusive to her and their six children. Their children ranged in age from 8 to 15 at the time.
Pitt allegedly started ranting at her, accusing her of being “too submissive to the children,” according to her attorneys.
Her lawyers claimed that Pitt took her into the restroom at the rear of the aircraft shortly after takeoff.
According to the paperwork, Pitt gripped Jolie by the head and shook her before slamming her against the restroom wall.
The suit states that Pitt lunged at his own kid after one of them interfered vocally. Apparently, Jolie “grabbed him from behind to stop him,” as stated in the court documents.
Pitt “threw himself backwards into the airplane’s seats in order to get Jolie off his back,” the lawsuit document says. This injured Jolie’s back and elbow.
The children tried to help but instead was caught in the crossfire. Pitt ended up striking one of the children and choking the other. The attorneys representing Ms. Jolie claim that she and the children “sat quiet and silent beneath blankets” for the rest of the journey.
