Liam Hemsworth Will Replace Henry Cavill In Netflix ‘The Witcher Series’

Henry Cavill recently announce his departure from Netflix’s The Witcher series. Liam Hemsworth will replace him as Geralt of Rivia.

Cavill announced the departure on his social media. ” My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures, and alas, I will be laying down my medallion and my swords for Season 4,” Cavill says in the Instagram post.

“In my stead, the fantastic Mr Liam Hemsworth will be taking up the mantle of the White Wolf.”

“As with the greatest of literary characters, I pass the torch with reverence for the time spent embodying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam’s take on this most fascinating and nuanced of men.”

Furthermore, Liam Hemsworth announced his arrival on the Netflix series on his social media. “As a Witcher fan I’m over the moon about the opportunity to play Geralt of Rivia,” he wrote in the Instagram caption.

“Henry Cavill has been an incredible Geralt.”

“I’m honoured that he’s handing me the reins and allowing me to take up the White Wolf’s blades for the next chapter of his adventure.”

Moreover, the change of actors will occur in season 4 of the series. Development for season 4 has reportedly begun and will begin filming after the release of season 3 in 2023.

This is truly shocking news for Witcher fans. Cavill is an avid fan of The Witcher and has played The Witcher video games. He brought what he knew from the video games and lore to the Netflix show.

Catch Cavill in his final season of The Witcher which will release in the summer of 2023.
