Nintendo and TAG Heuer will release two limited editions of Mario Kart-themed watches. Mario Kart will adorn two new Formula 1 chronographs from TAG Heuer.
Frédéric Arnault, CEO of TAG Heuer, says in a statement, “We are excited to reveal the two latest pieces born from our collaboration with Nintendo.”
“The TAG Heuer Formula 1 X Mario Kart Limited Editions (Chronograph and Chronograph Tourbillon) expertly mix fun gaming references that will delight fans of Mario Kart around the world, with refined and high-performing timekeeping.”
The TAG Heuer Formula 1 x Mario Kart Limited Edition Chronograph will cost $4,300 (RM20,283) and will only have 3,000 pieces available. The watch has a checkered background with Mario in his kart sitting in the seconds subdial.
There is also an aperture that goes through features from the game including Bullet Bill, the Banana and more. Engraved on the closed steel case back is the Mario Kart logo.
In contrast, the more luxurious Chronograph Tourbillon will cost a whopping $25,600 (RM120,755). Only 250 pieces will be available for sale.
Furthermore, the watch is made from grade 5 titanium with sapphire glass on the back. The watch has a visible case back where you can see the Mario Kart-themed motor in the watch.
Not only that, the interior of the watch has Mario in his kart, Blue Shell, and Bullet Bill revolving at 6 o’clock.
This will be the second time TAG Heuer and Nintendo have partnered together to release a watch. Back in 2021, they partnered to release a Super Mario smartwatch.
Moreover, that limited timepiece costs $2,150 (RM10,141) and only had 2000 pieces.
