The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has found many unusual things when searching through passengers’ bags. This time, they were not ready for the discovery of a fuzzy, orange, living creature during a recent luggage search!

TSA officials at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport discovered a ginger cat when doing a luggage search. An X-ray machine uncovered the cunning cat.

Moreover, TSA spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein said the discovery “shocked” the officer. A photograph taken at the scene clearly shows the orange fur protruding from the bag’s zipper.

On her Twitter, she tweeted “a @TSA officer was shocked to find an orange cat inside a checked bag at @JFKairport after it went through the X-ray unit. Traveler said the cat belonged to someone else in his household. On the bright side, the cat’s out of the bag and safely back home.”

TSA also showed some pictures of the cat when it was in the X-ray machine. What’s more interesting is that the pictures shows the cat tucked carefully between some bottles and a wine glass.

Furthermore, TSA tweeted “We’re letting the cat out of the bag on a hiss-toric find. This CATch had our baggage screening officers @JFKairport saying, “Come on meow”! Feline like you have travel questions reach out to our furiends @AskTSA.
