BTS Jin Begins Military Service Today, Fans Bid Their Goodbye To The Astronaut

Every ARMY has set a reminder in their calendars that today, 13 December, is the day Jin of BTS begins his military service.

Although everyone is sad to let the Astronaut go, the fans are commemorating this eventful day with happy tears.

Six members of BTS accompany Jin to the boot camp

What makes Jin’s send-off more meaningful is one of the members, V, flew back to Korea from Mexico. Amid his busy schedule, having to shoot the upcoming tvN reality show, Seo Jin’s (a Youn’s Kitchen spin-off), V didn’t miss the chance to bid his hyung (older brother) farewell.

Not only that, but the five other members, Suga, RM, j-hope, Jimin and Jungkook, are also seen at the boot camp. There are faithfully standing by their oldest brother’s side to bid him a last farewell (for now).

Jin wished to enlist quietly

For your information, Jin enters the 5th Infantry Division Key Recruit Training Centre, located in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do, around 1 pm.

As reported previously, BIGHIT wished that the media and fans would not flood the training centre to avoid social congestion. And since other people are recruiting on the same day as Jin, it’s also to respect their privacy.

The idol is assigned to be an active soldier

After the singer receives basic military training for five weeks at the boot training centre near the North Korean border, Jin is assigned to a frontline unit. This news sent many ARMYs into a frenzy as Jin’s military journey will be a bit challenging.

However, Jin assures the worried ARMYs not to worry with a post of him in a buzzcut that he too said, “Hahahahaha [the haircut] looks cuter than I expected.”

We’ll see him again on 12 June 2024!

Good news to all ARMYs: Jin discharges on 12 June 2024. It won’t be soon before long!

Plus, Suga will follow in Jin’s footsteps as he’s predicted to enlist next year. Due to his recent shoulder surgery, he might enlist as a public service worker instead of an active soldier like EXO’s Baekhyun.

Twitter trends are filled with Jin’s name

We wish Jin all the best in his military service. Come back to us safely, our Astronaut! #SeeYouSoonJin!
